I wanted to write a post about Good Friday during the pandemic. About the meaning of Good Friday and how it is so fitting during a time like this. Nothing seems quite right though. My words can't quite describe the feeling. Around 2000 years ago a man named Jesus hung on a cross at 9 … Continue reading Good Friday
My daughter was sick. For three days her little body fought temperatures in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Caring for my daughter when she is sick is emotionally and physically exhausting. Her body is the one going through hell so, why does it drain me so much? A three day fever meant four days of … Continue reading family, science, and community
Hi friends, I have embarked on a new journey. Well, it's actually a journey I've been on for a long time but, it's a new leg of that journey. It's too much for the human mind and senses to grapple with.

My professor advises us to approach a novel problem by first thinking about it. Once you have a potential answer, go to the … Continue reading love quest
This is the last post in a series about family. As a preamble to this post, I want to make it clear that I look at all of my posts as a mere snapshot in time. The words I write today are a reflection of the things I think, feel, believe, and understand today. I … Continue reading Christian family.
Daffodils are in bloom. I love daffodils -- their bright yellow faces popping up from the cold ground are a sign that spring, with all its glory, is just around the corner. Visions of pink and purple petals floating through the air fill my mind as I try to remember the scent of cherry blossoms … Continue reading spring tears
